On our House Staff Programme you'll experience the breadth of our global operations - whether it’s Cathay Pacific Group, Swire Coca-Cola, Swire Properties, The China Navigation Company or Swire Pacific OffShore.

We welcome a diverse range of academic backgrounds – whether you studied business, history or chemistry, we believe it’s learning agility, curiosity and leadership potential that matters. In the first few years, you’ll learn how we operate through detailed roles that will provide the foundation for your future career. Typically, on successful completion of the first three years, you’ll move to a managerial role and after eight years you can become head of a function. You will continue rotating jobs for the duration of your career – each one is carefully tailored to sharpen and grow your leadership skills and understanding of how to run a business, so that you may someday become a General Manager, Director or even CEO.

In addition to learning on the job, you’ll be offered:

  • A comprehensive mix of experiential training focused on developing your functional and leadership capabilities. As well as benefiting from our in-house training with Ethos International, you’ll have the opportunity to attend advanced management training at renowned business schools such as INSEAD in Singapore and France.

What we need

We’re looking for graduates who are curious, driven and adaptable individuals and will develop strong business and commerical accumen. Inclusive and open, you’ll exhibit the Swire values of excellence, endeavour, humility, continuity and integrity.

Requirements
  • You have the business and commercial acumen, as well as the ambition, to develop into a senior leader with Swire and eventually run a business.
  • You want to gain experience in multiple industries.
  • You’re globally mobile and ready for the challenge of moving from one location to another with short notice.
  • You have strong learning agility.
  • You have strong leadership potential and interpersonal skills.
  • You have a strong academic track record: you have or are expecting an undergraduate degree equivalent to a UK 2.1 or GPA 3.0 out of 4.0.
  • You have an excellent command of written and spoken English (minimum TOEFL 80, TOEIC 750 or equivalent). Other language skills, including Putonghua, are an advantage.
  • Internship & overseas experiences are a plus.
  • You are culturally sensitive and quickly adaptable to new roles and situations.

If shortlisted, you’ll be invited to take part in an online aptitude test, followed by a first interview in December or January either in Hong Kong or London.

If again shortlisted, you’ll have the opportunity to demonstrate your leadership skills at the final interviews in February in London.
